Rick Savage, Class of 1998, is a seasoned entertainment professional with over two decades of experience shaping culture at the intersection of music, media, and technology. With more than 10 years leading creative teams and launching brands for industry giants like Apple, NFL, VEVO, and Warner Bros. Records, he has built a reputation for delivering impactful and unforgettable audience experiences.
Throughout his career, Rick has collaborated with some of the world’s most iconic artists, from Selena Gomez and Kendrick Lamar to Lady Gaga and Metallica, helping to amplify their reach and connect them with global audiences.
In addition to his work behind the scenes, Rick has spent a decade in front of the mic as on-air talent for legendary radio stations KROQ (Los Angeles) and 91X (San Diego) and has been featured on-camera for VEVO, Yahoo, MTV, and NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. He is Emmy and Webby nominated and has won several awards for video production work as well as on air talent.
Today, Rick continues to thrive as a multi-faceted creator, producing music videos and lending his voice to a wide range of animation and commercial projects.
Rick is now the morning show disc jockey and music director for the legendary Alternative Rock station, 91X. After spending 20 years in Los Angeles, this new role brings him back “home” to San Diego, a proud graduate of Poway High School in Poway, CA.
